sesame noodles with beef... 20 minutes (plus marinating)

the goods:

1 sirloin steak
12 ounces lo mein or chow mein noodles (spaghetti noodles work fine too)
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
3 tablespoons sesame oil
pinch of red pepper flakes
4 tablespoons canola oil
4 scallions, thinly sliced

Grill the steak until medium-rare, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, canola oil, and 1/4 cup water. Place the steak inside a plastic zip-top bag and add 2 to 3 tablespoons of the sauce. Refrigerate steak in marinade for a couple of hours. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with remaining sauce. Slice steak against the grain and toss with noodles. Top with scallions and serve!
